a smile can go a long way ...

if there's one type of ppl that's hard to find on the roads of kl, it's a courteous person. every day i drive to uni and back and trust me, it's not easy trying to cut into a lane. most ppl just refuse to slow down to let u pass, and worse still, there are some idiots who purposely speed up when they see u signal. or even when u're already a quarter way in. and even if they were a mile away before u signalled. assholes. hello?! at least i had the manners to signal! i hate those ill-mannered idiots who dont and suddenly cut into ur lane.

anyway, let's not talk about them. they dont deserve my time. so today, i was going to turn into the junction near my house and there was this guy there who was going to turn out. since he was there before me and there wasnt anyone behind, i decided to let him go first. but he beckoned to let me go instead. so when i was passing by his car, i smiled gratefully and he returned my smile. then i looked properly and i realised it was ... (at least i think it was) Black! haha even if it wasnt him after all, it's nice to see that there are still some of these ppl out there.

have u ever been really down or in a bad mood, but then u encounter a nice person and ur whole mood changes? even if that person doesnt do anything but smile, u get this really warm and fuzzy feeling inside that makes u really happy. similarly, have u ever been in a good mood and u meet some ill-tempered person who glares at u or scold u for no reason and then u become bad tempered too?

it's funny how our moods affect those around us so easily. so be careful how u behave the next time! u might just ruin someone's day. or fix it.

i want to be one of those pleasant ppl who makes other ppl's day. :)

so pass on a smile today! who knows, it might come right back to u when u least expect it or need it most! :)

dreams, dreams

hey sorry ppl, i've been really busy lately, so couldnt blog. :( but i'll try to update my blog once in a while so keep on checking okay? :)

so yesterday i fell asleep during lecture and stupid cuz dot my face with highlighter. and then i got mad at shaun cos he didnt try to stop him or wake me up or something, instead he laughed at me. somehow, while i was being mad at shaun, sarv's face popped into my head and i could just picture him saying, "don't la, look at her face!" in his sarveen way whenever the other guys bullied me. sarv always knows when to step in whenever the others are going too far. that night, i dreamt of sarv. in my dream, it was the night before he was leaving for US (it's not a memory) and he dropped by my house with ashwin just as i was going out for dinner. typical ashwin walked straight to the fridge and raided it while sarv talked to me. then i had a phone call and i had to leave cos my entire family - grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins - were all waiting for me. when i woke up, i missed sarv so much. i didnt even get to talk to him the night he left cos he's so popular, the whole of kl went to see him off. :(
